Promoting Seismic Safety: Guidance for Advocates (FEMA 474)


FEMAAuthored by social science and policy researchers at the three earthquake engineering research centers, Mid-America Earthquake Center (MAE), Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering Research (MCEER), and Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER), this report provides guidance to seismic safety advocates.

Tips for advocates include: basic information about seismic building codes, policies and legislations, partnerships for safety, and effective risk communication.
