Establishing Programs and Priorities for the Seismic Rehabilitation of Buildings: Handbook (FEMA 174)

FEMA This handbook and its supporting report (FEMA 173) provide the information needed to develop a seismic rehabilitation program and establish priorities for rehabilitation. Through the presentation of nationally applicable guidelines, the handbook helps local jurisdictions to make informed decisions about rehabilitating seismically hazardous existing buildings. Included are a review of the relevant technical and societal issues and a procedure to resolve these issues. This publication can be ordered from FEMA’s website.
