Alaska Earthquake Preparedness
The State of Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management offers earthquake preparedness information for businesses, homeowners, and vulnerable residents such as the elderly and the disabled. Of particular interest is the Division’s Quake cottage, a portable model of home which demonstrates the effects of earthquake and the benefit of nonstructural mitigation.
