National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) logoThe TsunamiReady program was created by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) to help meet the needs of communities at risk from tsunamis. The TsunamiReady program is designed to educate local emergency management officials and their constituents, and to promote a well-designed tsunami emergency response plan for a community. TsunamiReady promotes tsunami hazard preparedness as an active collaboration among federal, state, and local emergency management agencies. The collaboration supports greater and more consistent tsunami awareness and mitgation efforts among communities at risk.
